Cookie Policy

This covers cookies and similar browser and device storage used by ShowCase, on the web app and in the iOS and Android apps.

What we use, and why

• Signing you in. Your session is kept in browser storage on the web and the device keychain on mobile. Without it you would be signed out on every page load, so there is no way to turn this off and keep using an account.
• Remembering your answer to this. One entry recording whether you agreed to analytics, so you are asked once rather than on every visit.
• Product analytics. PostHog sets identifiers to tie a session together, and records session replay. Only after you agree; nothing is loaded before that.

Changing your mind

Declining leaves analytics unloaded. If you agreed and want to stop, there's a Product analytics switch under Privacy in Settings, on the web and in the app. Turning it off takes effect straight away: nothing further is recorded or sent, and the identifiers already stored are cleared.
